Tim Traurig

Tim Traurig is a 35-year veteran of the Los Angeles City Fire Department. Traurig has been a firefighter, a staff assistant, an engineer, and captain of LAFD Fire Station 77 in Sun Valley. He has worked extensively with the Homeland Security Division of the Los Angeles City Fire Department, is a member of the LAFD’s Incident Management Team working in the Plans Section on large scale incidents, and is a certified Incident Command Systems (ICS) instructor for fire, law, and city department managers.

Bahram Safavi

Bahram Safavi, is a registered civil engineer in California with a focus on seismic engineering. He has over 25 years of experience, including structural analysis in the nuclear industry, earthquake damage evaluation of various types of structures and infrastructure, evaluation of repair and mitigation measures, and management of major seismic retrofit projects valued at over $2 billion, funded thru FEMA. Other experience ranges from inspections and seismic evaluation of bridges and communication systems to risk assessment of water conveyance systems and dams through surveillance and monitoring utilizing LiDar remote sensing technology and potential failure modes analyses. Safavi holds a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from Bristol University, England, an M.S. in planning and management, and a PhD in earthquake engineering, both from Stanford University. He was awarded a Fellowship from the Stanford John A. Blume Earthquake Engineering Center.

Ray Feeney

Ray Feeney, president and founder of RFX Inc. Feeney earned a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from the California Institute of Technology and his pioneering work in photography and motion pictures, including four Academy Awards for Scientific and Engineering Achievement, and Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPS) Medal of Commendation for pioneering efforts to improve visual effects in the motion picture industry, the AMPS Gordon E Sawyer Oscar, and the Visual Effects Society Founder’s Award. In 2012 Feeney was named a Visual Effects Society Fellow.
